Did you know? The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) recorded around 1.2 million Filipino emigrants bound for the United States of America (USA) from 1988 to 2018, more than half of whom were female at 59.84% while 40.16% were male.

Statistics also showed that the Filipino emigrant population during the said time period was very young; emigrants aged 14 or below comprised the largest portion of the population at 19.29% or 231,372, followed by 15- to 19-year-olds at 10.96% or 131,486. Meanwhile, the Top 3 to 5 age groups were shown to be 30- to 34-year old emigrants at 9.73% or 116,738, 25- to 29-year-olds at 9.23% or 110,714, and 20- to 24-year-olds at 9.18% or 110,113.

Interestingly, the Top 5 age groups among USA-bound Filipino emigrants were the youngest groups, while emigrants aged 65 or older listed the lowest count, making up only 8.07% of the total emigrant population.
