Did you know? Of the total 15,669 Filipino spouses, fiancé(e)s, and other partners of foreign nationals en route to Australia from 2009 to 2019, more than a fifth were from the National Capital Region (NCR) at 22.43% or 3,514. Most of those from Metro Manila originated from Districts IV and II, which accounted for 37.54% and 35.03%, respectively. In comparison, District III shared 14.03% and District I 13.4%.
Following the NCR with a wide margin were Cebu, which comprised 12.52% or 1,961 of the population, and Pampanga at 6.83% or 1,070. Meanwhile, Cavite, Davao del Sur, Rizal, and Laguna shared an average of about 3.67% or 575 spouses and other partners.
Other central provinces of origin included Leyte, Bulacan, and Negros Occidental, which each shared 2.71% or 425 on average. These ten provinces altogether accounted for 64.56% of all Australia-bound Filipino spouses, fiancé(e)s, and other partners of foreign nationals in 2009-2019.
