Did you know? Of the 15,669 Australia-bound Filipino spouses and partners, the majority were female at 93.9% or 14,713, while only 6.1% or 956 were male.

The population of Filipino spouses and other partners en route to Australia was also relatively young at the time of registration; almost half were aged 25 to 34 years. There were 4,141 25- to 29-year-old spouses and other partners, comprising 26.44%, and 3,438 30- to 34-year-olds at 21.94%. These two groups were followed by 20- to 24-year-olds and 35- to 39-year-olds with a large margin at 15.55% or 2,437 and 13.52% or 2,119, respectively. Meanwhile, only 1.51% of the population or 236 Filipino spouses and other partners were aged 15 to 19, and only 0.98% or 153 were aged 60 or older.
