Did you know? The majority of Australia-bound Filipino emigrants from 1988 to 2018 were female. The 73,605 female emigrants in this time frame comprised 63.62% of the entire population, while there were only about 40,000 male Filipino emigrants.
Filipino emigrants bound for Australia in 1988-2018 were also very young. More than a fourth were children aged 14 years or below at 27.09%, with a count of 31.340. Following them were 19,480 30- to 34-year-olds at 16.84% and 19,114 25- to 29-year-olds at 16.52%. Meanwhile, Filipino emigrants who were 50 years old or above comprised only a little more than 2% of the total Australia-bound Filipino emigrant population.
