Did you know? There were 16,076 Filipino emigrants to Spain from 1988 to 2019, 50.41% of which were male at 8,104, while 49.59% or 7,972 were female.

The Filipino emigrant population en route to Spain in 1988-2019 was also very young. Four thousand six hundred thirteen emigrants were aged 14 or below at the time of registration, comprising 28.69%. They were followed by 3,274 15- to 19-year-olds at 20.37%. In total, children and teenagers made up almost half of the entire Spain-bound Filipino emigrant population.

Meanwhile, the age ranges of 25- to 29-year old and 30- to 34-year old each constituted around 9% of the population at 1,466 and 1,499, respectively. They were followed by 1,125 35- to 39-year-olds at 7%, then by 1,025 20- to 24-year-olds at 6.38%. On the other hand, 1,233 Filipino emigrants to Spain in 1988-2019, or 7.67%, were aged 60 or above.
