Did you know? The United Kingdom (UK) ranked as the seventh destination country among Filipino emigrants from 1981 to 2019, accounting for 0.76% of the Filipino emigrant population. According to registration data obtained by CFO, there were 18,933 Filipino emigrants bound for the UK during this time.

In the early 1980s, the annual count of Filipino emigrants en route to the UK was moderate, listing 460 emigrants on average. In 1988, this number suddenly declined before stabilizing again, recording an average of 212 Filipino emigrants annually for 16 consecutive years until 2003.

In 2004, the number of Filipino emigrants flying to the UK rose again. It started to follow an upward trend until 2016 saw a sudden increase, whereafter more than a thousand Filipino emigrants were recorded flying yearly to the United Kingdom.
