In order for the Commission to continue reaching out to the Filipinos in various regions of the world to monitor migrants welfare, discuss means of cooperation for diaspora engagement, CFO conducts the Ugnayan Series in partnership with various government and non–government agency partners. It also aims to empower Filipino communities and encourage them to participate in entrepreneurial, investment activities and promote social remittance.

Away from their home and their families, migrants sometimes lose their social networks, peer circles or trusted support systems that typically provide company and guidance. To successfully address the trials experienced by newly arrived migrants and provide support for their settlement abroad, the availability of social networks, support groups and establishing connections within their reach is of utmost importance. CFO continues to forge deep partnerships and agreement with post-arrival service providers, counterpart officers from the host countries, Filipino communities, migrant serving institutions, and the Philippine embassies and consulates.
